Most demo environments fill you instantly at the price you asked for, which teaches you nothing about execution. Ours lets you dial in slippage and latency, so a strategy that only works with perfect fills fails here rather than on a live account.
That is the point of the exercise. A backtest tells you whether the logic has an edge; a demo with realistic execution tells you whether the edge survives contact with a real fill.
